Debrecen photospheric observational data

The photospheric observational material is the collection of the photoheliograms (solar full disc observations in the continuum light) made by the telescopes at Debrecen and Gyula since 1957. I contains recently more than 150 thousands photoheliograms. Before the SOHO era (1996) no photospheric observations have been made with such cadence anywhere. The material is superior among similar materials not only for its quantity but also its quality: by the experiences of several years the best quality ground-based observations are made at the Gyula Observing Station. The growth of the photographic material will expectedly come to an end by the advent of the electronic observations but the importance of the photographic material will not diminish.
