Scientific Description
The mission of Institut Mittag-Leffler is to support international top-level research in mathematics, with special attention to the development of mathematical research in Nordic countries.It also has a responsibility to serve as a contact and link between mathematicians in the Nordic countries as well as the international research community.

Library
Institut Mittag-Leffler maintains an extensive mathematical library. The collections of older literature in the library are particularly fine. There is also an interesting archive with correspondence, manuscripts and other documents of Gösta Mittag-Leffler, Sofia Kovalevskaya and Karl Weierstrass. Participants in the Institute's scientific program have free access to the library.
