The primary task of the CIR is to conduct excellent basic research, with particular emphasis on complex interdisciplinary programs. In addition to basic research, these include the development of innovative research, participation in higher education and knowledge transfer to the economy, with the goal of developing new high-tech products and increasing public awareness of the importance of knowledge and science in modern society. The CRI carries out these tasks in cooperation with universities, scientific institutes and other similar institutions in Croatia and other countries.Scientific research, development and maintenance of the infrastructure, technology and logistics for contemporary multidisciplinary (CRI) and multi-institutional (global) scientific research, based on modern computer science, technologies, informatics, which have resulted in the development of eScience technologies on the basis of Science Information Communication Technology—ICST.
