The BSN is one of the Very Large Research Infrastructures (TGIR) supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR). The project received a double labeling: Plan "Digital France 2012" (October 2008) and inclusion in the Roadmap for Research Infrastructures (December 2008).
