Located in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, consists of a 250 m tall atmospheric tower. It serves as a national monitoring point of both the occurrence and long-range transport of greenhouse gases, selected pollutants and basic meteorological characteristics through continuous monitoring of: atmospheric concentrations of CO2, CH4, CO, N2O, SF6, atmospheric pollutants (tropospheric ozone, total gaseous mercury), aerosol optical properties, basic meteorological parameters (radiation balance, air temperature and humidity, wind speed and direction, precipitation levels) and planetary boundary layer height. The laboratory includes an aerial carrier, spectroradiometers for recording reflected solar radiation in the spectral range of 400-2,500 nm, a single-band thermal sensor, GPS sensors, gyro-stabilization frames.
